Vaso d’Avorio

“Vaso d’Avorio” is a decorative art print inspired by the extraordinary and delicate ivory vessels created by Marcus Heiden. Their structural complexity becomes here an exercise in imagination and graphic precision: the upper part of the vase is marked by horizontal ribs that suggest fragility, while the stem—built as a sequence of zigzag-stacked discs—creates the illusion of an unstable balance, on the verge of breaking and recomposing itself. Enhancing this visual tension, two hands emerge from the lateral planes: a symbolic gesture suspended between protection and mechanical miracle, framing the object and seemingly saving it from imminent collapse. The background, rich in textures and chromatic contrasts, amplifies the theatrical quality of the composition.
