Light Blue

Storm of Stones and Shadows

With Storm of Stones and Shadows – Light Blue Edition, Magnus Gjoen once again explores the ruins of time, translating them into a suspended architectural vision, where the past dissolves into the present like an echo vibrating beyond the visible.
Created exclusively for MaVoix, this wallpaper merges majestic classical ruins in the style of Piranesi with contemporary graphic elements — ikat patterns, camouflage references, and layered visual textures that give the impression of a digital fresco.

The artist molds the substance of memory, transporting it into a new dimension: here, ancient history is no longer a monument, but a fluid, translucent, dreamlike visual memory.
In this evocative landscape, the wall becomes a mental screen — columns, shadows, and architectural details blend with striped textures and translucent layers, drawing the viewer into a place that is both reality and illusion.

“I wanted it to feel eternal and contemporary at the same time,” explains Gjoen — and his work achieves exactly that: a monumental yet weightless wallpaper, dreamlike yet structured.

The Light Blue Edition is a delicate, rarefied reinterpretation of the original design.
The background shimmers with very pale blues, washed-out celeste tones, dusty greys, and soft whites, enhancing the composition’s ethereal atmosphere.
Light seems to filter through the ruins, dissolving every contour.
The ikat motif and diagonal linework introduce movement to an already fluid, graphic composition.
Ideal for minimal and contemporary interiors that seek to connect with time through the lightness of form.
