Ludovica is one of the most evocative designs in the MaVoix collection, inspired by the historical figure of Anna Maria Luisa de’ Medici, also known as Ludovica — patron, heir, and last great guardian of the Medici legacy.
It was she who ensured that all of her family’s artworks would remain forever in Florence, by signing the Patto di Famiglia in 1737 — a visionary, political, and profoundly cultural act.
The Ludovica design stages an imaginary inventory of precious objects: urns, chalices, fantastic creatures, jugs, heraldic symbols, and decorated vases alternate like rare pieces in a private museum, transforming the wall into a collector’s space.
Each object is finely illustrated with precise lines, saturated colors, and gilded details, recalling the sumptuous aesthetics of noble palaces and Baroque Wunderkammern.
It is a perfect pattern for elegant interiors, historical settings, and private galleries, as well as for those who wish to interpret the concept of beauty through visual and architectural form.
The Ludovica Ghiaccio variant is distinguished by its slightly mineral icy-white background, with a grain reminiscent of handmade paper or antique porcelain.
Upon this bright, refined base, the motifs in emerald green, amethyst violet, sapphire, burnished gold, and Pompeian red shine vividly, like suspended jewels.
