Blu Mediceo

Rosetta

Rosetta Blu Mediceo is a wallpaper designed by Costantino Gucci for MaVoix, exploring the boundary between Tuscan craftsmanship and contemporary perception.
Inspired by the decorative elements of Florentine Renaissance architecture—from which it takes its name—this creation is built on a precise grid of three-dimensional modules, where each cell hosts a concave rosette, evoking the language of architectural bas-relief.

The Blu Mediceo variant enhances the sculptural character of the pattern: a surface articulated through rectangular reliefs, carved by the interplay of solids and voids.
Its dominant blue hue — elegant, regal, and steeped in history — interacts with light and shadow, animating the wall with subtle variations throughout the day.
The result is a fluid, vibrant surface, seemingly alive and breathing.

The deep blue selected by Costantino Gucci references the pigment favored by the Medici patrons, used in 15th-century Florentine workshops as a symbol of opulence and refinement.
Here, it is reinterpreted with minimalist precision, giving rise to a wallpaper that perfectly embodies elegance, sophistication, and the dialogue between heritage and visual innovation.

Its simulated three-dimensionality, achieved through meticulous digital lighting and textural rendering, makes Rosetta – Blu Mediceo a visually tactile mural composition — not merely a background, but a structural, spatial vibration.
